balloon

For my birthday I was given a helium balloon. That's not all I got, but it has lasted longer than some of the other things. I'm not sure how to dispose of it. It has finally sunk to pretty much ground level. But it's floating a bit. I am tempted to put it down the trash chute near my appartment. It would make it's way slowly down. Another option, would be to set it free. This I think is the fate of many helium balloons.
I think I have a better solution. Before the helium is all gone open the end and suck the helium out so you've got that fun squeeky voice. Then change the message on your answering machine. I think it's what everyone should do.

committing

Committing to going to stuff. I have this trait which I thought was honesty but apparently is not adored by all. If I'm unsure about going to an evening out, be it party or a concert, I will sometimes give a qualified yes. Essentially, this is "yes", unless something better comes along. Seems that people aren't exactly thrilled with this type of a response.

a fact check

The second presidential debate is just ending. The network covering it, says "after this, we'll have a fact check". So without apology they are saying that after the two men in the running to be president of america are finished talking, we'll see who told the fewest lies. This is sick. Really sick.
